It is very important that your kitchen is nice and clean. An unclean kitchen contains many hazards, such as slipping and bumping into stuff. Also, a cluttered kitchen can also mean a cluttered mind. This may cause you to lose concentration on the task you are performing in the kitchen.

- Use hot and soapy water when washing things.
- Use a clean, dry tea-towel to wipe your equipment and benches down
- Rinse the dishcloths after you have used them, and then put them away.
- When cleaning sifters, dust or brush them. Do not wash them often.
- For tin ware, clean them with steel wool and use an abrasive cleaner, using only little water. Rinse them in hot water and dry them with a dishcloth to help remove stains. Then leave them in the oven to dry.
