Time Management
Time Management is very important when cooking in a kitchen. If you don't manage your time, you may end up with overcooked food, or not enough time to prepare a meal. You need to dedicate a specific amount of time for each specific task you do in a kitchen. Time management is also the steps required to ensure you finish your meal.
An example of how to manage your time in the kitchen is: Task 1: Wash your hands. Task 2: Put your apron and hair net on. Task 3: Collect your recipe card. Task 4: Collect your ingredients Task 5: Collect equipment from the recipe. Task 6: Read the recipe. Task 7: Allocate jobs. Task 8: Preheat the ovens. Task 9: Mise en Place. Task 10: Clean/Wash up. Task 11: Once finished, place in container. Task 12: All equipment away. Task 13: Dirty tea towels in basket. Another way you can manage your time is prepare beforehand. You can write a list of all the things you need. You can then get them beforehand so you are prepared to the the task on the recipe.
